August 19, 2017

Summer may be coming to an end, but the month of August has never failed to ease up on the heat. And although we may be starting fall classes, if we got a chance to catch some rays one weekend, we would.

With that being said, I wanted help those who are still unsure about what to use when it comes to taking care of your skin before, during, and after the beach. We all don't want to look like leather when we are older after all (unless you do then you do you).

Brazilian Bum Bum Cream for 45$ at 8.1oz [ ]. Although that is at a hefty price, Sephora does sell a smaller container at 2.5oz for 20$.

This product may not protect you from the sun, but it will give your skin the lift and glow that it needs. I like to put the Bum Bum Cream on my legs, butt, stomach, and upper arms before I head out to the beach. I always know I will want to take pictures, so giving my skin that extra lift makes me feel all tight and moisturized.

Olay Complete Daily Moisturizer available at Target for as little as 5.99 at 2oz [ ].

This face moisturizer is for my drugstore lovers out there. Though it does come at a cheap price, you will not be disappointed on how this makes your skin feel. If you have more oily skin this might be a little too moisturizing to use daily, but as a moisturizer plus SFP serum it is fantastic for beach days. This is especially great for those of us who sometimes forget to immediately put sunscreen on our faces when laying in the sun.

 Sun Bum SPF 50, 9.99 for 3oz [ ].

With such a high SPF, I like to use this rub in sunscreen for the spots I know will burn if I don't protect them. It also feels very lightweight and not too greasy to the point of feeling like a french fry.

Pacifica Sun + Lip SPF 30, 3.99 at Target [ ].

Although this product leaves a bit of a white-cast on your lips, it does come in various tinted colors while also providing an SPF of 30 for that sensitive bit of skin. I feel as though the lips are often forgotten in the madness of covering up. I mean, how awful does sunburn on your lips sound?

Banana Boat Aftersun Lotion, 16oz, 4.99 at Target [ ].

This by far is my holy grail item out of all of my favorites. This lotion not only moisturizes your dry skin after a day in the sun, but it also has Aloe. You know, that wonderful thing you use after over cooking yourself? Yeah, it's heavenly. Plus it smells like summer AND it helps maintain your tan. What more could and girl or guy ask for?

Good luck on any future endeavors in the sun, everyone! Let me know on our most recent Instagram post if you love any of these products or if you have any reccommendations yourself!

Until next time,

A, xx.
